If so, even if they were a legitimate company, I'd avoid them on grounds of illiteracy on their part.
But yes, this is the first time I've heard of a service (rather than merchandise) being used as the basis for a pyramid/MLM operation.
Not all MLM schemes are illegal scams - though they're all pretty sleazy in my opinion.
